I’m Brian P. Kane and I help gun owners with:

I treated police work like a full contact sport and sought to learn every aspect that the profession had to offer. I worked a decade in the Patrol Bureau and was then selected to be a detective in the Criminal Investigations Bureau, investigating crimes of violence. I was promoted to Detective Sergeant managing the Major Crimes Unit, supervising 10 detectives & 4 Evidence Technicians. I held the positions of Assistant Team Leader & Team Leader of the S.W.A.T. Unit, responsible for mission planning, training, and Unit development. I have been designated a certified Firearms Instructor by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training since 2013. Successfully completed Active Shooter training courses hosted by Homeland Security, Department of Criminal Justice Training, & Ohio Tactical Association, and have successfully completed a Counter Terrorism Urban Tactics training course hosted by the Illinois Tactical Officers Association. There may be several area companies that seek to prepare you for a theoretical gunfight. I have the experience of actually being involved in several. Allow me to help you succeed.
Hello, on August 1st, 2020, I completed a 26 1/2-year career as a Police Officer for a Metropolitan Police Department. Starting in 1994, I entered my profession as a deputy with the Campbell County (KY) Sheriff’s Department and then began the majority of my career with the City of Covington (KY) Police Department. In the current climate, regarding my profession, I apologize for nothing. I served with many honorable men and women.
Upon earning a promotion to Sergeant, I was appointed as the lead detective in the Internal Affairs Unit and supervising the Major Crime Unit. I dedicated 14 1/2 years to the Covington Police S.W.A.T. Unit holding positions as Less lethal & Chemical munitions instructor/operator; assistant S.W.A.T. team leader, and S.W.A.T. team leader.
I have participated in 100’s of hours of firearms training courses and have trained 100’s of recruits and officers in firearm proficiency courses. I look forward to imparting my knowledge and experience. Thank you for visiting my page.
